34 Little Canada Road
April 21, 1992
Page 2
Due to the abandonment of the home there is no evidence of
anyone living there. Also, due to the poor conditions of
the building it is in a dilapidated state. Some windows
are broken and in badly need of repair. The opening in the
lower level of the structure has been opened for earth
removal. Columns and beams have been removed to cause
failure in the foundation walls and failure in the floor
and roof system. People can gain entry into the structure
which could cause a hazard. The roof is in poor
condition. Specifically, the particular defects which make
the building hazardous are:
* The building has been abandoned for six months.
* The exterior of the building is in a dilapidated
condition.
* The exterior of the building is open to the
public which would cause physical damage or a
fire hazard.
* Gain of entry can be made through the opening of
the rear structure approximately an 8x8' area.
* Sewer system and water system have been
abandoned.
* Water closet, lavatories, bathtubs and kitchen
sinks are open.
* The supports in the building are deteriorating.
* Interior walls are inadequately maintained and
are in a poor condition.
* Supporting columns and floor systems and wall
partitions are out of vertical support and are
defective due to the deterioration of the
materials.
* The concrete slabs that lay adjacent to the
foundation are encroaching on the property just
to the east causing a drainage problem to the
rear and side of the property.
Page 25
