MINUTES
CUP FOR
AUTO REPAIR
2822 RICE
STREET
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING COMMISSION
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
April 9, 1992
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular
meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of
Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of
April, 1992 in the Council Chambers of the City Center
located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City.
Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at
7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission
were present at roll call:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais
Mr. Dennis Carson
Ms. Claudia Drabik
Mr. Steve Garske
Mr. Art Herkenhoff
Mr. John Keis
Mr. Bob Pedersen
ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Allen Hunting, City Planner
Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Rec. Secretary
There being no corrections to the minutes of the March
12, 1992 regular meeting, those minutes stood approved
as submitted.
Mr. Gary Smith appeared before the Commission regarding
his application for Conditional Use Permit to conduct
an auto repair business at 2822 Rice Street. Smith
reported that he has reviewed the Planner's report on
this matter, and questioned the statement that no
vehicle should be allowed to be parked on the lot for
more than a 48 -hour period. Smith reported that if he
has to order parts for a vehicle from a manufacturer,
it sometimes takes a week or two to receive the parts.
The City Planner replied that this was not a specific
recommendation, but rather an indication that a
reasonable time period should be established for length
of time that a vehicle is left on the lot. The
specific length is a recommendation that the Commission
would have to make.
DeLonais asked if there was a limitation on the number
of cars that could be parked on the lot.
Page 1
