MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
APRIL 9, 1992
The Planner pointed out that this is tied in with
parking space requirements, and there is no requirement
to set a maximum for number of vehicles on the lot.
DeLonais asked if the Planning Commission was to
receive a set of final plans for review and approval.
The Planner pointed out that the Commission has a copy
of plans in its packet.
Smith stated that it was his understanding that final
plans would be submitted to the Building Inspector.
Smith referred to the Planner's comments on the depth
of parking spaces, and reported that the parking spaces
as proposed are the full depth required.
DeLonais reported that at the last meeting, the City
Planner expressed concern that the property owner may
delay some of the improvements. DeLonais reviewed the
minutes from the last meeting. DeLonais also pointed
out that normally, the Planning Commission reviews the
final plans.
DeLonais pointed out the delays that have been
experienced in processing this application, and that
the applicant has not complied with the direction of
the Planning Commission. DeLonais pointed out there
are questions that must be answered regarding the
phasing of the various property improvements.
Smith reported that one of the first things he would do
is close two of the driveway entrances.
Drabik pointed out that there are site improvements
which the applicant has indicated will be Phase 2
improvements, which the Planner recommends be Phase 1
improvements.
The City Planner reported that his office wants to see
the parking lot surfaced and striped, landscaping
completed, driveways closed, screen wall constructed
and curbing installed all as part of Phase I.
DeLonais suggested that a reasonable time frame be
established for these improvements to be completed.
Page 2
