February 7, 1992
Joel Hanson
City Administrator
City of Little Canada
Dear Joel:
This letter is concerning our conversation on the walkway -
utility easement on the property at 105 East Old County Road C.
The problems I have with the easement are as follows: I do
not think it is reasonable for a home owner to maintain, pay
taxes, and accept possible insurance liability on property that
has very limited, if any, uses to the owner. I also think that
a walkway on the side of property instead of along the street
reduces the privacy of the home owner abutting this type of
walkway.
I would like you to consider one of the following four options:
1. Remove easement entirely.
2. Make it a 20' utility easement.
3. If a walkway easement is necessary, make it a 5' walkway
or whatever conforms to other such easements in the City.
4. If a walkway and utility easement is necessary, make it
a 5' walkway with the necessary utility easement.
Thank you.
James A.
105 Old
484 -0421
Z u sE_ Lc-
Zietlow
Co.
