MINUTES <br />SIGN <br />VARIANCE <br />MARKET PLACE <br />SHOPPING <br />CENTER <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 11, 1992 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the llth day of <br />June, 1992 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. Steve Garske <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />MEMBERS EXCUSED: Ms. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Claudia Drabik <br />Mr. Art Herkenhoff <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Rec. Secretary <br />There being no corrections to either the minutes of the <br />May 14, 1992 meeting or May 27, 1992 meeting, they <br />stood approved as submitted. <br />Jim Stellick, general partner of The Market Place <br />Shopping Center, appeared before the Commission <br />requesting approval of a variance to the Sign Ordinance <br />to allow for an additional identification sign on top <br />of the existing pylon sign for The Market Place <br />Shopping Center Stellick reported that Snyders has <br />asked for assistance in getting exposure on Rice <br />Street. Stellick pointed out that the lay -out of the <br />shopping center is not typical, and exposure on Rice <br />Street is limited. <br />Stellick pointed out that the proposal is to place a <br />"Market Place Shopping Center" identification sign on <br />top of the existing pylon. The existing "Market Place" <br />panel will be repainted and used as an identification <br />sign for Snyders. Stellick stated that he would like <br />Page 1 <br />
