CHAPTER No. 493 <br />S.F. No. 2017 <br />1 lake or pond constitutes a boundary line within or of the plat, <br />2 a survey line shall be shown with bearings or angles and <br />3 distances between all angle points and their relation to a water <br />4 line, and all distances measured on the survey line between lot <br />5 lines shall be shown, and the survey line shall be shown as a <br />6 dashed line. The outside boundary lines of the plat shall close <br />7 by latitude and departure with an error not to exceed one foot <br />8 in 7,500 feet. All rivers, streams, creeks, lakes, ponds, <br />9 swamps, and all public highways and thoroughfares laid out, <br />10 opened, or traveled (existing before the platting) shall be <br />11 correctly located and plainly shown and designated on the plat. <br />12 The name and adjacent boundary lines of any adjoining platted <br />13 lands shall be dotted on the plat. <br />14 Sec. 12. Minnesota Statutes 1990, section 505.03, <br />15 subdivision 1, is amended to read: <br />16 Subdivision 1. On the plat shall be written an instrument <br />17 of dedication, which shall be signed and acknowledged by the <br />18 owner of the land. All signatures on the plat shall be written <br />19 with <br />20 full <br />21 what <br />22 what <br />black ink (not ball point). The instrument shall contain a <br />and accurate description of the land platted and set forth <br />part of the land is dedicated, and also to whom, and for <br />purpose these parts are dedicated. The surveyor shall <br />23 certify on the plat that the plat is a correct representation of <br />24 the survey, that all distances are correctly shown on the plat, <br />25 that all monuments have been or will be correctly placed in the <br />26 ground as shown or stated, and that the outside boundary lines <br />27 are correctly designated on the plat. If there are no wet lands <br />28 or public highways to be designated in accordance with section <br />29 505.02, the surveyor shall so state. The certificate shall be <br />30 sworn to before any officer authorized to administer an oath. <br />31 The plat shall, except in cities whose charters provide for <br />32 official supervision of plats by municipal officers or bodies, <br />33 together with an abstract and certificate of title, be presentee <br />34 for approval Lo the council of the city or town board of towns <br />35 wherein there reside over 5,000 people in which the land is <br />36 located; and, if the land is located outside the limits of any <br />10 <br />Page 14 <br />
