The land shall be surveyed and a plat made 2 setting forth and naming all thoroughfares, showing all public. 3 grounds, and giving the dimensions of all lots, thoroughfares 4 and public grounds. All in -lots shall be numbered by beginning 5 the numbering with number one and numbering each lot 6 progressively, through the block in which they are situated, all 7 blocks shall be numbered progressively, by beginning the 8 numbering with the number one and numbering each block 9 progressively through each plat. Consecutive lot or block 10 numbering shall not be continued from one plat into another. 11 All outlots shall be designated by alphabetical order beginning 12 with outlot "A" in each plat. Durable iron monuments shall be 13 set at all angle and curve points on the outside boundary lines 14 of the plat and also at all block and lot corners and at all 15 intermediate points on the block and lot lines indicating 16 changes of direction in the lines and witness corners. The plat 17 shall indicate that all monuments have been set or will be set 18 within one year after recording, or sooner as specified by the 19 approving local governmental unit. A financial guarantee may be 20 required for the placement of monuments. There shall be shown 21 on the plat all survey and mathematical information and data 22 necessary to locate all monuments and to locate and retrace any 23 and all interior and exterior boundary lines appearing thereon. 24 The outside boundary lines of the plat shall be correctly 25 designated on the plat and shall show bearings on all straight 26 lines, or angles at all angle points, and central angle and 27 radii and arc length for all curves. All distances shall be 28 shown.,between all monuments as measured to the nearest hundredth 29 of a foot. All lot distances shall be shown on the plat to the 30 nearest hundredth of a foot and all curved lines within the plat 31 shall show central angles, radii and arc distances. If a curved 32 line constitutes the line of more than one lot in any block of a 33 plat, the central angle for that part of each lot on the curved 34 line shall be shown. The width of all thoroughfares shall be 35 shown on the plat. Ditto marks shall not be used on the plat 36 for any purpose. In any instance where a river, stream, creek, 9 Page 13
