Hanson <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: August 9, 2013 <br />RE: Labore Road Traffic Study Proposals <br />At the direction of the City Council, staff asked for proposals for an evaluation of 4 -way <br />stop sign placement at Labore /Arcade and Labore /Cherry Hill Lane as well as <br />suggestions for traffic calming. Six firms were contacted and four proposals were <br />received (copies attached). A summary of the pricing is as follows: <br />SEI-I $3,700 — Three Weeks to Complete <br />Spack $4,980— 10/18/13 <br />Stantec $5,450 — Two to Four Weeks after Traffic Counts <br />WSB $4,000 — 9/30/13 <br />In reviewing these proposals, you will note that most of them include traffic count <br />collection. Our engineer has recently completed updated traffic counts and I will be <br />checking with these firms to see if that results in a lower price prior to Wednesday's <br />meeting.
