MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 14, 2013
1UP. Blesener noted that the Council tabled action on this matter at its
July 24"' meeting because it appeared that there was not enough room on
the property to accommodate the IUP usage. In viewing the property,
there was a great many vehicles on the site, many of which were double -
parked. It appears that Mr. Krebsbach has addressed this situation.
The City Administrator reported that Mr. Krebsbach has submitted a
revised site plan and has re- organized the site. The site is now working;
however, the Administrator noted that the issue will be whether it
continues to work going forward. The Administrator noted the City
Planner's August 91' report in which he notes that if the site falls out of
Code compliance, the City has the option of not issuing the annual outdoor
storage license as well as pursuing CUP revocation.
Krebsbach reported that he has worked with his tenants to improve the
organization of the site, and indicated that he would work to ensure that
the site stays in compliance. Krebsbach reported that the auto repair
business on his property is doing very well, but noted that he has arranged
with the business owner that larger vehicles to be repaired will have to be
by appointment only to ensure that outdoor storage requirements are being
met.
McGraw asked for a clarification of the property address. Krebsbach
noted that there are three units in his building, each with its own address.
Those addresses are 3173, 3175, and 3177 Spruce Street.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was
closed.
Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -8 -139 — APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT ALLOWING OUTDOOR STORAGE AT 3173, 3.175,
3177 SPRUCE STREET, JOHN KREBSBACH, SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS JULY 5TH AND AUGUST 9TH
REPORTS AND SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
2
