v <br />MINUTES <br />City Council <br />lay 23, 1984 <br />Water <br />Projects <br />(Cont.) <br />Mrs. Nardini pointed out that Viking Drive will never get done any <br />cheaper than right now. <br />The Engineer stated that if the City decides to rebid the project, <br />the bid should be changed somehow, otherwise the low bidder will <br />not rebid the project. <br />It was suggested that perhaps the city could pick up half the cost <br />of the Viking Drive improvement. ".1rs. Scalze stated that she could <br />not see the City doing this. The City Clerk stated that the City <br />has never done something like this. <br />Mr. Forsberg suggested that if Viking Drive is cost prohibitive, <br />that it be deleted. <br />Mrs. Nardini suggested that the City inform the people on Viking <br />Drive about this and ask them to consider the project with them <br />picking up a greater cost. <br />The Engineer stated that there are also problems on Viking Drive <br />with obtaining the easements. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that this might be the time to water the rest <br />of the City. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that the people on Viking Drive should be <br />informed that it will cost them $63 per foot. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that they should be notified and informed to <br />attend the next Council meeting on this. Mrs. Nardini agreed. <br />Krejci Mr. Tom Krejci appeared before the Council asking what the City wants <br />Matter him to do in order that he can get his plans for addition to the <br />Old Little Canada School building approved. Mr. Krejci stated that <br />Addition he thought these plans had been approved, but was informed that the <br />To The City wants approval of the School District to the PUD Agreement <br />Agenda before it will issue a building permit. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that it was her understanding that this agreement <br />has not been approved because of a disagreement with the School <br />District over who will pay legal fees. <br />Mr. Krejci explained his dealing with the School District over the <br />past couple of years and stated that it was his understanding that <br />if he changed one paragraph in the agreement, the School District <br />would sign it. This has been done, but he is still not convinced <br />that the School District will sign. <br />Page 10 <br />
