Hanson <br />TO: Mayor Hanson & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: April 9, 1993 <br />RE: Request for Joint Planning Commission /City Council <br />Workshop <br />At the Community Pride Committee meeting held on Thursday, <br />April 8, 1993, discussion took place regarding the need for <br />a total revision to our Comprehensive Plan verses the <br />creation of a Redevelopment Plan. The Planning Commission <br />discussed this at their meeting on that same date. The <br />result of that meeting was that the Planning Commission <br />would like to have a workshop with the City Council and the <br />City Planner to discuss this matter in greater detail. It <br />was also suggested that the Community Pride Committee <br />should be invited to participate in this dicussion for <br />their input as it relates to the redevelopment issue. <br />It was suggested that a workshop be held at 6:00 p.m. on <br />April 28, 1993 with the Planning Commission, City Council, <br />and the Community Pride Committee in the Council Chambers. <br />As you will note, this would be immediately preceeding our <br />regularly scheduled Council meeting to be held that <br />evening. <br />JRH:kpv <br />Page 41 <br />
