Y4(14 ceawarda
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Hanson & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: April 9, 1993
RE: Council Appointments to Fire Department Truck
Committee
MA YOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As part of the draft policy (copy previously provided)
regarding Fire Department purchases, the City Council was
to be allowed to designate up to two of its members to
serve on the committee which is involved in the purchase of
new fire trucks. Fire Chief Dick Boss has indicated that
the Department is commencing the planning process for the
purchase of a new vehicle. Therefore, he would like the
Council have its two representatives designated so they can
participate in the entire process. It is my recommendation
that the Council appoint two people to serve on the Fire
Truck Planning Committee.
It should be further understood that the draft policy
governing major Fire Department purchases will be finalized
with the Department in the coming weeks and presented to
the Council for final approval.
JRH:kpv
Page 40
