PAUL, MN 33101 .
TELEPHONE: (6121 296 -9412
FACSIMILE: (6121 296.7438
This letter will confirm our telephone conversation of April 1, 1993 along with Betty
Strohbeen wherein we discussed your request for a hearing in regard to the denial of your
license renewal application. As I indicated, the Board would be willing to retain your renewal
application and waive a reapplication fee and allow you six months to complete your
application. If at the end of the six month period your application was not complete, you
would waive your right to a hearing and accept the denial of the license reapplication.
It is my understanding that you will attempt to contact the local government official in
regard to approval of your premises permit. As I indicated, the Gambling Control Board has
no authority to force the local governmental body to hold open its approval.
I would strongly encourage you to seek an attorney to discuss the status of the escrow
fund in light of the Gambling Control Board's decision In the Matter of the Lawful Gambling
License of the Little Canada Bingo Hall.
Please contact me immediately, and in any event no later than April 7, 1993, regarding
your decision to settle the matter. Should we not agree, a contested case must be filed very
soon pursuant to statute.
EJN /pscc5
cc: Deb Mishler
Very truly yours,
E. $SEIP NEWTON
Special Assistant
Attorney General
Page 2
Equal Opportunity Employer
