MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 11, 1993 <br />AMENDMENT <br />TO PUD <br />KNOX LUMBER <br />CUP FOR <br />TEMPORARY <br />OUTDOOR <br />SALES & <br />DISPLAYS <br />LINDER'S <br />GREENHOUSES <br />Truman Howell, representing Knox Lumber, appeared <br />before the Commission requesting approval of an <br />amendment to PUD to allow for additional accessory <br />structures at Knox Lumber. Howell reported that Knox <br />is proposing to construct three storage canopy <br />buildings in order to protect product that is currently <br />stored outside. The structures would be 17 feet high <br />and 32 feet wide. There would be 40 foot separations <br />between the structures for vehicle access. <br />Keis asked about the Planner's comments regarding <br />parking stalls. <br />The Planner commented that their only concern was that <br />the original PUD has been developed according to what <br />was approved. Therefore, he is requesting an updated <br />site plan. <br />Drabik pointed out the Planner's comments regarding <br />grading and drainage. <br />The Planner recommended that the City Engineer confirm <br />that run -off will not be a problem. The Planner did <br />not anticipate a problem, however, since the area is <br />not impervious. <br />Mr. Keis recommended approval of the amendment to <br />Planned Unit Development to allow for additional <br />accessory structures at Knox Lumber, 3203 Country Drive <br />subject with compliance to the recommendations of the <br />City Planner as contained in his report dated February <br />8, 1993 and subject to review by the City Engineer with <br />regard to grading and drainage. <br />Motion seconded by DeLonais. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Mr. Peter Linder, Linder's Greenhouses, appeared before <br />the Planning Commission requesting approval of a <br />Conditional Use Permit to allow for temporary outdoor <br />sales and displays at the Market Place Shopping Center. <br />Linder reported that Linder's Greenhouses has been a <br />family -owned grower and seller for the past 80 years, <br />and has been doing flower marts for a number of years. <br />Page 2 <br />Page 4 <br />
