MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />December 7, 2006 <br />Steinert recommended that the city pursue location of a skateboard park at the Old Fire Hall. <br />Motion seconded by Fahey. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />OTHER These items were mentioned during the meeting: <br />BUSINESS <br />• Registration is underway for winter youth activities including skating lessons, hockey skills, <br />winter gymnastics, and basketball clinic. <br />• Fall youth gymnastics was just finalized. <br />• Basketball League is underway. This year, we have eight teams, which is the same number <br />as last year. <br />• Commissioners are invited to attend this year's holiday party scheduled on Thursday, <br />December 28, 2006 at 4:30 p.m. at Little Canada City Center. Formal invitations are in the <br />mail. <br />• Davis indicated that last year, snowmobiles were using Gervais Mill Park and caused <br />damage to the asphalt. The Director stated that snowmobiles are not allowed on public <br />property, including streets, and residents should call the Sheriff's Department to report them. <br />Although, the Sheriff's Department may not be able to respond in time depending on what <br />calls they are responding to at the moment. <br />h.JJOURN Neis recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded Gy Steinwall. <br />Motimz carried 6 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />
