MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 28, 2013 <br />RECODIFI- <br />CATION OF <br />MUNICIPAL <br />CODE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Clerk reported that the City Attorney's office has begun the <br />process of recodification of the Municipal Code. The first step in the <br />process is to repeal any of the Codes that are adequately addressed by <br />State Law. The next step will involve the City Attorney and City Staff <br />drafting Code revisions and updates which will be submitted to the City <br />Council for their consideration. This step in the process will likely take <br />several months. <br />The Clerk noted that the action before the Council this evening is to adopt <br />an ordinance repealing those Code sections recommended by the City <br />Attorney. The Clerk again noted that the recommended sections are <br />covered by State Law. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -8 -147 — ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE LITTLE CANADA CODE, KNOWN AS THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, DELETING THE FOLLOWING CHAPTERS <br />FROM THE MUNICIPAL CODE IN THEIR ENTIRETY: <br />CHAPTER 207. <br />CHAPTER 401. <br />CHAPTER 503.010. <br />CHAPTER 1201. <br />CHAPTER 1205. <br />CHAPTER 1206. <br />CHAPTER 1207. <br />CHAPTER 1208. <br />CHAPTER 2401. <br />COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT; <br />ADOPTION OF STATE MOTOR <br />VEHICLE CODE; <br />VARIATIONS; <br />DISORDERLY CONDUCT; <br />INHALING OF CHEMICALS; <br />ASSAULT; <br />WORTHLESS CHECKS; <br />RECREATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLES; <br />ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE <br />CRIMINAL CODE OF 1963. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
