Mayor & City Council
December 1, 1993
Page 2
In regard to chain -link fencing, to -date all businesses have some
form of chain -link. The chain -link fenced areas are being used for
storage of materials that would be used in their particular business
operation. Assuming compliance is obtained for removal of junk and
debris, outdoor changes would still be needed for about 75% of the
materials now in existance. In view of this, the Planning
Commission, City Planner and Inspectional Services ask for Council
direction to re- define the fencing requirements and to establish a
policy relating to business properties where no front yard exists and
where fences have been erected.
Thank you in advance for your direction and support.
JP:bj
Enclosures
Page 13
