CANADA <br />WOODS WEST <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 14, 1993 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />October, 1993 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M., and the following members of the Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Ms. Claudia Drabik <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Fred Schletty <br />MEMBERS EXCUSED: Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. Steve Garske <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Cary Teague, City Planner <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Rec. Secretary <br />Mr. Ken Gust, representing the developers of Canada <br />Woods West, appeared before the Commission and <br />presented a revised preliminary plat for Canada Woods <br />West. Gust reported that the most easterly proposed <br />lots have been adjusted westward to keep them further <br />from the existing wetland area. Gust also reported <br />that the holding pond proposed for the development has <br />been relocated from the west end of the proposed <br />cul -de -sac to the east. <br />Greg Maranda, resident of the area, reported that he <br />had been concerned with the previous location of the <br />holding pond, and the relocation of that pond addressed <br />his concerns. <br />Gust reported that the Watershed has required that back <br />of the houses on the east side of the cul -de -sac be at <br />least 20 feet away from the wetland. Gust reported <br />that there are some infringements into the wetland on <br />the plat, but the Watershed is allowing mitigation. <br />Page 1 <br />
