3.43 Drainage Area 4 — 2.16 Acres <br />Drainage area 4 represents the eastern half of Viking Drive and the surrounding residential <br />properties. Runoff in this area will continue to flow to the east end of Viking Drive where it <br />discharges directly into the MnDOT ditch system along Highway 36. The following improvements <br />are proposed within Drainage area 4. <br />• Extend storm sewer piping and catch basins to the intersection of Viking Drive and <br />Arkwright Street to relieve an existing drainage issue at this intersection. <br />• Construct an underground infiltration system and boulevard rain gardens to reduce the <br />amount of runoff and improve it's quality prior to discharge. <br />3.44 Drainage Area 5 — 7.73 Acres <br />Drainage area 5 represents all of Desoto Street along with the majority of the surrounding <br />properties. Runoff in this area will continue to flow to the north and ultimately be discharged into <br />the MnDOT ditch system along Highway 36. The following improvements are proposed within <br />Drainage area 5. <br />• Extend storm sewer piping and catch basins to the intersection of DeSoto Street and <br />Laurie road to improve drainage at this intersection. <br />• Construct a bio- filtration basin in the existing right -of -way north of the intersection at Lark <br />Avenue and DeSoto Street to improve water quality prior to discharge into the MnDOT <br />ditch system along Highway 36. <br />• Construct an underground infiltration system and boulevard rain gardens to reduce the <br />amount of runoff and improve it's quality prior to discharge. <br />3.45 Drainage Area 6 — 12.73 Acres <br />Drainage Area 6 represents all of Burr Street, Hendry Place, Highway Drive, and approximately <br />half of Sunrise Drive. Runoff in this area will continue to flow northwest and ultimately be <br />discharged into the MnDOT ditch system along Highway 36. The following improvements are <br />proposed within Drainage area 6. <br />• Extend storm sewer piping and catch basins along Burr Street, Highway Drive, and <br />Hendry Place to improve drainage on these streets. <br />• Construct a bio- filtration basin in the existing right -of -way north of the intersection at Burr <br />Street and Highway Drive to improve water quality prior to discharge into the MnDOT ditch <br />system along Highway 36. <br />• Construct underground infiltration systems and boulevard rain gardens to reduce the <br />amount of runoff and improve it's quality prior to discharge. <br />3.46 Drainage Area 7 - 4.47 Acres <br />Drainage Area 7 represents the southernmost portions of Sunrise Drive along with the <br />surrounding residential properties. Runoff in this area will continue to flow south where it will be <br />captured by proposed storm sewer near the intersection of County Road B and Sunrise Drive. <br />Runoff would continue to be conveyed to the east, through a series of existing pipes, to the pond <br />at the northeast corner of Edgerton Street and County Road B. The following improvements are <br />proposed within Drainage area 7. <br />• Extend storm sewer piping and catch basins north along Sunrise Drive to improve <br />drainage at the intersection with County Road B. <br />17 <br />27 <br />
