SPECIFICATIONS FOR DEMOLITION <br />September 27, 2013 <br />I . The Contractor shall be responsible for the demolition and disposal of the house, garage, and <br />storage shed at 3046 Labore Road. <br />2. The Contractor shall obtain a demolition permit from the City of Little Canada. The cost of <br />the permit is based on the value of your quotation for each property and shall be included in <br />the price of the work performed. (Permit Fee Schedule is attached — be sure to include the <br />State Surcharge in your calculation.) <br />3. The Contractor will be allowed twenty (20) calendar day window to commence the work <br />from the date the Notice of Award is made. However, once work is commenced, no more <br />than five working days shall be allowed to fully complete the work outlined in these <br />specifications. <br />4. The Contractor is required to submit a Notification of intent to Perform a Demolition (10- <br />day notification form) to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. A copy of that form <br />must also be provided to Ramsey County at the same time to fulfill their 10 -day <br />notification requirement. That form can be faxed to Greg LaMere at 651- 266 -1177 or e- <br />mailed to the following address: grea.lamere@co.ramsey.mn.us (See Ramsey County Memo <br />Attached) <br />5. The Contractor must provide insurance coverage. The City of Little Canada shall be named <br />as additional insured and the policies must include the following minimum coverages and <br />limits: <br />Bodily Injury Liability $1,000,000 <br />Property Damage Liability $1,000,000 <br />Auto Public Liability $1,000,000 <br />Workers' Compensation Statutory Limits <br />6. Upon commencement of any work on the site and until satisfactory completion of the <br />demolition contract, the Contractor shall have the care, custody, and control of the <br />premises unless said care, custody is deficient and the City assumes control at an earlier <br />date by written notice to the Contractor. The Contractor shall exercise the care, custody <br />and control of the premises subject to the rights of the owner and other Contractors, <br />engaged thereon. All insurance required under this contract for the protection of the <br />owner must be maintained for the entire period wherein the Contractor has the care, <br />custody, and control of the premises until completion and acceptance of the entire project <br />by the owner. The Contractor shall not allow rubbish or waste materials to accumulate <br />on or about the premises. The Contractor shall keep the street and adjoining property <br />cleaned of debris and maintained to the satisfaction of regulatory agencies. Failure to <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />7 <br />
