The structures in question must be completely demolished, including foundation systems. <br />Below grade structures, if any are discovered, are to be uncovered and removed from the site. <br />Contractor shall remove all concrete or asphalt slabs and drives or take steps necessary for <br />the safe removal and backfill of all structures and foundations and dispose of at a State - <br />approved disposal site. There is a retaining wall along the driveway that must be removed. <br />The trees immediately adjacent to the retaining wall will be cut down by the City, but the <br />stumps need to be removed by the contractor as part of this project. Grading shall then be <br />done to ensure no more than a 4:1 slope with appropriate measures taken to stabilize the bank <br />and prevent erosion on to the neighbor's property. <br />8. There are also pictures of trees between the house and garage, a dead tree in the rear yard, <br />and a stump of a cottonwood tree. The City will cut these trees down, but the contractor will <br />need to remove the stumps. <br />9. The City is not aware of any underground tanks on the property. If any tanks are discovered <br />during the course of this work, the Contractor shall promptly notify the City and the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency before proceeding with their removal. <br />10. The Contractor shall confine his /her apparatus, the storage of materials, and the operations of <br />his/her workers to the site. <br />11. In addition to removal of the existing foundation, the Contractor shall be responsible for <br />backfilling of all excavated areas with material suitable for a new building pad. Any required <br />backfill material shall be included in the bid price. The Contractor shall coordinate and <br />provide the necessary compaction tests to document proper fill placement. <br />12. The Contractor shall make his /her own arrangements for the use of toilet facilities by <br />Contractor and any employees. The Contractor shall discharge any workers not using the <br />toilet facilities for creating a nuisance on the premises. The contractor shall also be subject <br />to a fine of $500 for each occurrence of this violation. <br />13. The Contractor shall be responsible for conditions on the job site within the designated <br />construction area during the demolition process. This includes safety of all persons and <br />property. Work conditions shall conform to all applicable requirements of regulatory <br />agencies that have jurisdiction over safety. This includes requirements established by the <br />Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Contractor shall provide adequate <br />fire extinguishers on site at all times for emergency use. <br />14. The Contractor must re- verify utility locations via Gopher State One Call. The complete <br />protection of said utilities is the responsibility of the Contractor. <br />15. A hazardous materials report was prepared by Techtron Engineering, Inc., and is attached to <br />this solicitation.
