removed under separate contract by Dennis Environmental Operations, a licensed abatement <br />contractor, prior to Notice of Award. (A certification of removal from license abatement <br />contractor will be provided to contractor upon request.) The owner is not aware of any other <br />hazardous materials on the sites beyond those identified in the referenced reports. Should the <br />Contractor plan on recycling materials from the job site as part of the demolition operation, <br />Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring materials are prepared and handled according to <br />the standards of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Minnesota Pollution <br />Control Agency (MPCA). <br />16. The Contractor shall accept the premises as found and clear the site as specified. <br />17. The Contractor shall disconnect, cap off and seal the sanitary sewer service and water service <br />at the property line and in accordance with City ordinance requirements. <br />18. The City is not aware of any old septic systems or cisterns on the property. 1f the Contractor <br />encounters any septic or cistern, tanks should be removed and the area backfilled with <br />suitable material. <br />19. There may be a well on the property, but the City is not aware of its location. Should the <br />Contractor discover the existence of any well during the course of operations, the City shall <br />be notified immediately to allow this condition to be properly addressed in coordination with <br />the Contractor. Sealing of any well discovered will be the responsibility of the City. <br />20. During demolition operation, the Contractor shall prevent dust and dirt from rising from the <br />site by appropriate means. Silt fence shall be used as reasonably necessary and in <br />conformance with Little Canada City Code Chapter 927 dealing with Erosion Control. <br />(Copy attached hereto.) <br />21. All materials resulting from demolition(s) or removal(s) shall become the Contractor's <br />property. It shall become the Contractor's option to salvage any of the demolition materials <br />if all work and operations are conducted in a lawful manner and the work is not delayed <br />beyond the completion date specified. All debris, refuse, or other items must be removed <br />from the work site upon completion of the project, and disposed of in an approved landfill or <br />in some other manner acceptable to the City and in compliance with Federal, State and Local <br />laws. <br />22. The bidder shall examine the site and shall note by their signature on the bid form that they <br />have done so. <br />23. The attached "Property Quotation" form indicates the demolition activity to be undertaken. <br />The price submitted must encompass all costs as outlined in these specifications. If there are <br />any contingencies the contractor feels are not adequately addressed by these specifications, <br />the City shall be contacted prior to submittal of the quotation in order that all parties have <br />quoting with the same information. The award will be considered based on the lowest <br />responsible quotation. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all quotations and to <br />make the award in its best interests. <br />Page 8 of l0 <br />9 <br />
