Mayor & City Council Page 2 <br />May 31, 1994 <br />involvement with these other organizations is very beneficial. <br />In another area of senior activity, I have been fortunate to <br />receive the help and support of Cleone LaVaile with our senior <br />exercise program and square dancing. Mrs. LaValle helps with <br />attendance, fee collection, recruiting, and opening /closing the <br />facility for these programs. While she partakes in these <br />programs herself and is in attendance anyway, this does not <br />lessen the value that she has been to me. If not for her, <br />someone from City staff would have to undertake these duties on a <br />daily basis. <br />Based on the time she has saved me with these programs, I have <br />not been charging her a fee for her participation in them, and I <br />feel this is a terrific bargain for the City. <br />Both of these women have been and continue to be an asset to <br />seniors of Little Canada through their involvement. I therefore <br />request the Council's consent to continue the aforementioned <br />expense reimbursements and fee waivers.
