Mayor & City Council Page 2
May 19, 1994
* Pipe could be owned and maintained by the Watershed
District which closely approximates the subwatershed
served by this pipe.
* Pipe could be owned and maintained by Ramsey County.
* Pipe could be owned by any of the previously listed
options and the Watershed District could maintain and
operate it.
* MWCC could own and operate the pipe depending on
Statutory authority. (It was the consensus of the
committee that this approach has merit in that this is
a regional issue best addressed by Metropolitan Council
rather than the individual jurisdictions.)
Meetings will be held commencing in early June. Therefore, we
need to appoint two representatives. I would recommend
appointing Dave Harris and myself to the committee. Should you
have any comments or questions regarding this matter, please let
me know.
JRH:kpv
Enclosures
Page 96
