STATEMENT OF USE
FOR LITTLE CANADA
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
The permit request for an additional garage at 2934 Labore
road is required to provide inside storage for too many adult toys
currently stored throughout the yard. One half owner of these toys
has asked the other half owner to pick them up and put them away.
The problem at hand is there is no place to put them and parting
with them would be inconceivable. A fishing boat, a canoe, a yard
tractor and trailer, and a camping van would all be vying for space
in the new garage.
The original house was built in the 40's and set back off
Labore road on 5 acres of land with the original garage placed
closer to the road. The property currently consists of 2 acres of
land and can quite easily handle the extra building. Building the
additional garage with the same architectural characteristics of
the original garage and placing it closer to the road would be
aesthetically pleasing and fit with the original layout of the
property.
The closest neighbor is currently building on the small lot
next door. Even though the garage is placed toward the road it
would still be considered adjacent to his side yard and not disturb
the view of his front yard. There is no residence across Labore
road from the proposed garage site and the other neighbors are
shielded by mature trees located throughout the front yard of our
property. As for the neighborhood in general a 1940's style garage
with a cupola and a weather vane would be far more attractive than
the outside storage of the above items.
Gary L.
