Mr. Denny Lorenz
Page 2
July 16, 1990
Recommendation:
1. MPCA staff recommend that either additional remedial investigation be
performed or that corrective actions be designed and implemented. This
recommendation is based upon the facts that petroleum odors are still
noticeable in the soil, jar headspace analyses are extremely high, and the
differences between the analytical results from two soil borings which are
adjacent to one another.
2. Information regarding contaminated soil is still missing. MPCA staff
must be informed whether any soil was excavated, how much, was it disposed
of, how was it disposed of, was the MPCA notified, and was soil disposal
approved by MPCA staff?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 612/643 -3456.
Sincerely,
Diana Eichfeld
Pollution Contro Specialist
Tanks and Spills Section
Hazardous Waste Division
//4
DE:kmf
cc: Chris Haas, Braun Environmental Laboratories
Page 48
