515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
July 22, 1994
TO: Mayor Hanson and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
Re: Engineering Contract Renewal
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is a revised contract for engineering services between
the City and Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates.
The key changes in this document are:
* A new fee schedule to accommodate more complex projects
dealing with multi- agency coordination or more
difficult design issues. This fee schedule will not
apply to the projects in progress (see letter
attached).
* Schedule B is the rate for hourly services. These
rates have been adjusted to Bonestroo's current levels.
They can only be increased during the contract term by
the Twin Cities' CPI.
* Greater clarification as to the definition of basic and
additional services has been added.
Bonestroo is conducting a final review of this document, but
based on my conversations with Marvin Sorvala, their president, I
would anticipate approval of this document.
Subject to our attorney's review, I would recommend our approval
as presented.
Page 164
