review of plans or during construction. <br />1.4. Bidding Phase <br />Upon receipt of City Council authorization to proceed with the <br />Bidding Phase, the Consultant shall: <br />1.4.1. Assist the City in preparing and publishing advertisements for <br />bids. <br />1.4.2. Provide two (2) copies of the approved plans and specifications to <br />the City. <br />1.4.3. Assist the City in distributing and interpreting plans. <br />1.4.4. Prepare and issue any addenda to the plans and specifications which <br />are necessary. <br />1.4.5. Assist the City in obtaining and analyzing bids and proposals <br />including a recommendation as to acceptance of the qualified bid and in <br />awarding and executing the Construction Contract. <br />1.5. Construction Phase <br />Upon receipt of City Council authorization to proceed with the <br />Construction Phase, the Consultant shall: <br />1.5.1. Organize, attend and assist the City at the Pre - construction <br />conference with the successful bidder, and any other parties, bodies, or <br />agencies who have an interest in the Project. During this conference, the <br />Engineer shall take accurate notes regarding the proceedings including an <br />attendance list. These notes shall then be forwarded to all attending <br />parties for their records. <br />1.5.2. Assist the City in providing advance notice to the public for the <br />purpose of informing them as to the timing of the Project, impact upon <br />their property, traffic or parking restrictions, and any other pertinent <br />information necessary relative to the Project. This will include a meeting <br />with the public if deemed necessary by the City to aid in this process. <br />1.5.3.
