Hanson <br />The following is the process staff has followed relating to <br />preparation of Floor Agendas, Agenda Packets, and Additions to <br />the Agenda. <br />Since there was discussion at the last Council meeting regarding <br />this pocess, I would ask the Council to review our current <br />procedure and make any changes it deems necessary. Staff will <br />then implement the necessary changes to comply with the Council's <br />direction. <br />Based on our past discussion, I would like to offer some pros and <br />cons for preparing Agenda Packets based solely on the Floor <br />Agenda. Please remember that due to publication deadlines, the <br />Floor Agenda must be finalized by Thursday Noon. <br />Thursday, Noon Deadline for Scheduling Items for Discussion at <br />City Council Meeting: <br />Pros <br />Complete Floor Agenda is published in Press resulting <br />in opportunity for a more informed citizenry; <br />Potential for Thursday distribution of Agenda Packets to the <br />City Council allowing for earlier review on their part; <br />Cons <br />Decline in customer service by not being able to <br />accommodate agenda requests coming in after Noon on <br />Thursday; <br />OR <br />Placing late requests on the Additions to the Agenda will <br />not give the Council an opportunity to review these <br />Page 211 <br />
