l C <br />MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Oct. 14, 1987 <br />Centerville <br />Road Park <br />Proposal <br />(Cont.) <br />Collova felt that there should be trails and walking paths developed <br />through the property. <br />Fahey agreed and felt the area should be connected with the City's <br />trail system to the north as part of the City's long -term park plan. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Recess <br />MGM <br />Relocation <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 6 <br />Eng <br />Drainage <br />Matter <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87 -10 -486 - AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY ATTORNEY TO NEGOTIATE OPTION <br />AGREEMENTS TO PURCHASE LAND TOTALING 33.88 <br />ACRES IN THE CENTERVILLE ROAD AREA FOR THE <br />FUTURE PARK AND RECREATION NEEDS OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 513. <br />At this point in the meeting, 8:50 P.M., Council took a short recess. <br />The meeting was reconvened at 9:00 P.M. <br />A representative of MGM Liquor appeared before the Council requesting <br />approval of the transfer of their liquor license from 78 Minnesota <br />Avenue to 80 Minnesota Avenue. MGM would like to relocate to smaller <br />quarters in the Little Canada Mall. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87 -10 -487 - APPROVING THE <br />��G.e-rcw...-2 -- RELOCATION OF MGM LIQUOR AND THE TRANSFER <br />OF THEIR LIQUOR LICENSE FROM 78 MINNESOTA <br />AVENUE TO 80 MINNESOTA AVENUE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Lavalle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 18, Page 514. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Eng, County Road B -2, appeared before the Council regarding <br />a drainage problem they are having in their front yard. Mr. Eng reported <br />that the problem has been continuous for several years, however, has <br />increased in magnitude due to filling of property across the street <br />as well as increased development in the area.
