Wilson Executive Director 1995 Cable Commission Budget North Suburban Access Corporation & North Suburban Cable Commission -- - 950 Woodhill Drive, Roseville, MN 55113 612/481- 9554(Cry /NSAC) 612 /482 -1261 (NSCC) August 8, 1994 The proposed 1995 Budget for the North Suburban Cable Commission is enclosed for your review. In accordance with the Joint Powers Agreement, the budget will be considered approved by your city unless we hear from you prior to October 15, 1994. I have included extensive notes in the budget document, but feel free to call me if you have questions. The projected revenue from the member cities will stay at the same level as 1993 -- $164,200 -- despite a projected increase in legal fees necessitated by a combination of rate regulation, potential transfer of ownership (Meredith Cable has put the system on the block and has indicated that a new owner could be announced within 60 days.) and franchise renewal. In addition, the 1995 Budget contains funds for municipal grants. Fortunately, the Commission has sufficient reserves to balance the budget. We have been talking with Meredith Cable in an effort to resolve some of the issues involved with rate regulation. As a result, we may be able to calculate the 1994 franchise fees payable in 1995 before the end of August. As soon as those figures are available, we will send them on to you.
