MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 8, 1994
Steve Peterson, Canabury Pond Townhomes, reported that
he has reviewed the ordinance amendment and finds it to
be acceptable.
Davison recommended approval of the ordinance amending
the municipal code of the City of Little Canada,
Section 903.020, regarding temporary special purpose
fences which provide protection from natural elements.
Motion seconded by Schletty.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
OFF -SITE The City Planner presented a proposed ordinance
TEMPORARY amendment which would prohibit any temporary off -site
SIGNS signs. The Planner reported that this amendment was
prepared at the request of the City Administrator who
felt this should be more clearly defined in the
ordinance.
Mr. Keis recommended approval of an ordinance amending
the municipal code of the City of Little Canada,
Section 903.110, regarding temporary off -site signs as
prohibited signs.
Motion seconded by Garske.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
REZONING The City Planner reported that Abra Auto Body has
TO PUD - applied for a rezoning of property on Rice Street to
ABRA PUD which would allow the development of an Abra Auto
Body & Glass business and alleviate the City's concern
about allowing auto body repair businesses in the B -3
Zoning District. However, Abra has requested that this
matter be tabled until the October Planning Commission.
It seems that an attorney representing Abra feels that
PUD zoning is too discretionary on the part of the
City. It is the advice of that attorney to Abra that
they apply for a Conditional Use Permit under the
present B -3 zoning, since it is his opinion that Abra
is minor auto repair, therefore, an allowed conditional
use. The City Planner felt that Abra was clearly major
auto repair.
10
Page 13
