Hanson <br />After discussing this matter in greater detail with the City <br />Planner, I feel the only permanent solution to address the <br />existence of the barbed wire fence adjacent to a residential area <br />is to have you apply for a conditional use permit to allow a <br />special purpose fence to address the concerns you previously <br />discussed with me. Given the circumstances surrounding the <br />confusion over the allowance of the fence, I would be willing to <br />waive all fees associated with the review of this matter with the <br />exception of publication and mailing requirements. <br />While I can appreciate your concerns regarding the need for this <br />fence, I feel this option is the only choice which provides for <br />the proper handling of this matter. I would ask that you make <br />this application by no later than Tuesday, August 23, 1994. I <br />would suggest that your application detail the location of the <br />fence (site plan) as well as the special needs surrounding its <br />existence. This matter would then be scheduled for the Planning <br />Commission meeting to be held on September 8, 1994 and followed <br />up with the Council on September 28, 1994. <br />Should you have any comments or questions after reviewing this <br />matter, please feel free to give me a call.
