Director <br />MICHELLE DeBACE, Program Coordinator <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Hanson & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director <br />DATE: September 23, 1994 <br />RE: Re- roofing Spooner Park Shelters <br />Bids have been received from four companies regarding the re- <br />roofing of the two picnic shelters and the band shell at Spooner <br />Park. In my discussions with Bill Sanders, all four are <br />reputable contractors. <br />It is my recommendation to award the re- roofing contract for all <br />three structures to John A. Dalsin & Son, in the amount of <br />$10,884. I do not believe we could obtain a more favorable bid <br />for the work, and at this price, it seems to make sense to do all <br />three together. <br />It was discussed at the September Parks & Recreation Commission <br />meeting and they also concurred that if funding was available, it <br />would make sense to complete all three structures at this time <br />JM:kv <br />Enclosure <br />Page 59 <br />
