MINUTES <br />CUP FOR <br />SPECIAL <br />PURPOSE FENCE <br />ARCADE <br />ELELIRIC <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 8th day of <br />September, 1994 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Denny Davison <br />Mr. Fred Schletty <br />Mr. Steve Garske <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />MEMBERS EXCUSED: Mr. Dennis Carson <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Admin. Asst. <br />There being no corrections to the minutes of August 11, <br />1994 regular meeting, those minutes stood approved as <br />submitted. <br />Mr. Ed McCumber, Arcade Electric, appeared before <br />the Commission requesting a Conditional Use Permit for <br />special purpose fence allowing barbed wire on top of <br />storage enclosure fence which is adjacent to a <br />residential area. The property in question is located <br />at 608 East County Road D. McCumber reported that the <br />barbed wire was installed on top of the fence to try to <br />solve a problem with break -ins that have been occurring <br />at his property. McCumber reported that in responding <br />to the break -ins, the Sheriff's Department recommended <br />the barbed wire on top of the fence as well as <br />installation of an alarm system. <br />McCumber reported that in March he called City Hall to <br />see if barbed wire or razor wire was acceptable. <br />McCumber stated that he was told that barbed wire was <br />1 <br />Page 4 <br />
