If reflects the past directions of the Council as discussed during our budget workshops. We need to take the following action at our December 21, 1994 meeting relative to the budget document: * Adopt the 1995 budget as proposed. * Certify 1995 tax levies to Ramsey County for collection pursuant to resolution enclosed. * Reduce 1995 debt levies pursuant to resolution enclosed. Please keep in mind that we are eliminating our debt levies and making them part of our General Fund levy on the advice of our Auditor, Bob Voto. This may provide the City with added protection should levy limits reappear. * Adopt resolution which provides for the allocation of the General Fund levy to the respective debt service accounts for the retirement of debt pursuant to the resolution enclosed. This will be for internal use only. * Ratify 1995 salary recommendations. Two changes have occurred in this area. The first relates to pay scale for the Executive Secretary. This was increased from 4% to 5 %. The total cost of this change is $303.20 including PERA and FICA. The cost to the General Fund would be approximately 33% of that amount. That number has been included in our budget documents. I am also recommending that we provide the same percentage increase to the Secretary position (5 %).
