The Rice at C sign proposal meets each of these criteria. The shopping center has frontage on
both Rice Street and County Road C. The property consists of a total of over 730 linear feet
of frontage on the two roadways. Each of the two signs will meet the required five foot setback,
and finally, the two signs will be 115 and 200 feet from the intersection.
The property owner proposes to relocate the existing freestanding sign from Rice Street to the
County Road C frontage. A new sign is to be constructed for the Rice Street frontage in
conformance with Ordinance requirements. The proposed plans submitted by the owner
indicates that all performance standards of the sign ordinance will be met.
Upon the finding that the request meets the requirements of the Little Canada Sign Ordinance,
we recommend approval of the Conditional Use Permit for a second freestanding sign in
accordance with the plans submitted.
pc: Kathy Glanzer
Greg Schmidt
Jerry Bourdon
Dave Harris
Page 17
