MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION MARCH 10, 1994 *Increase public involvement; *Implement the Watershed Natural Resources Plan. Buss reported that the Steering Committee will meet once more to finalize the plan. The plan will then be published and distributed to local governments so that it can be used in developing comprehensive plans, etc. Buss asked that the Planning Commission contact her with any questions or comments that the members might have on the plan. DeLonais asked about surface run -off from the proposed SuperAmerica site to the St. Paul Water Department property as has been discussed earlier in the meeting. Buss suggested that Cliff Aichinger of the Watershed be contacted and asked to comment on that matter. DeLonais thanked Buss for her presentation and informed her that should the Planning Commission have any comments on the plan members would contact her or Dennis Carson. COMPREHENSIVE The City Planner introduced Koffi Voumadi, a student PLAN working towards his Master's Degree in Planning at Mankato State. The Planner reported that Voumadi will be assisting the City in getting the comprehensive planning process off the ground. The Planner reported that Voumadi will begin working on an inventory and will be going through the community on a parcel by parcel basis identifying current land uses and changes that have occurred over the last 15 years, as well as identifying property condition issues on individual parcels. The Planner stated that when Voumadi identifies land conflict or building issues, policies and programs will need to be established to deal with those situations. The Planner reported that Voumadi is volunteering his time to assist in the process, and the advantage to the City is that a more detailed inventory will be developed than was initially planned for, and the City will save money.
