MINUTES <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 10, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of <br />March, 1994 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. Denny Davison <br />Mr. Steve Garske (arr. 7:35 P.M.) <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Fred Schletty <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Joel Hanson, City Admin. <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Rec. Secretary <br />There being no corrections to the minutes of the <br />February 10, 1994 Planning Commission meeting, the <br />minutes stood approved as read. <br />CUP FOR Mr. Andy Priolo, representing SuperAmerica, appeared <br />SUPER- before the Commission requesting approval of a <br />AMERICA Conditional Use Permit to operate a convenience <br />store /gas station at 235 East Little Canada Road. <br />Priolo reported that SuperAmerica is proposing a 3,500 <br />square foot building with canopy over two service <br />islands, 6 pumps and 12 service points. <br />Priolo reported that after reviewing the City Planner's <br />report, traffic appears to be the main issue. Most of <br />the existing traffic is on Little Canada Road at <br />approximately 14,000 cars per day. Traffic on Country <br />Drive appears to be 5,000 to 6,000 cars per day. <br />Priolo felt that traffic to the SuperAmerica site would <br />enter the site from Little Canada Road and exit onto <br />Country Drive. Most traffic to the site would be <br />generated from the existing traffic in the area, with <br />Priolo indicating that a SuperAmerica site does not <br />1 <br />
