Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve MoreIan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached are a number of pieces of information relative to the
potential construction of trails and sidewalks in the vicinity of
Old Co. Rd. C /Lakeshore Avenue /Jackson Street. In discussing
those issues, the following matters will need to be resolved:
* Will there be any assessments associated with
construction of sidewalks and /or trails? (See survey
from neighboring cities on assessment policies.)
* Who will maintain these areas? (Abutting property
owners or City)
* What construction criteria will be utilized i.e. width
of the trail and /or sidewalk, type of material to be
used, and specific location?
* What segments, if any, are to be built?
Jerry Bourdon, our City Engineer, will be present at the meeting
to discuss the matter in greater detail. Based on our
discussion, I am confident he will be able to answer most issues
that could arise which are not addressed in his memo. Should you
have any comments or questions in the meantime, please let me
know.
JRH:kpv
Enclosures
Page 38
