be completed by the contractor. The Consultant shall certify his <br />recommendation for acceptance of the work to the City and then shall <br />forward to the City his /her written approval of the Contractor's Request <br />for Final Payment which shall be signed by the contractor. <br />1.5.15. Review and analyze alleged defects in the Project brought to its <br />attention prior to the expiration of the contractor's warranty period, and <br />report in writing the findings of such review to the City. Such report <br />shall state whether the alleged defect does meet the contract plans, <br />specifications and standards and shall recommend a course of corrective <br />action if one is required. Follow -up on complaints brought to its <br />attention, when requested to do so by the City, during the period of the <br />contractor's warranty. It is understood that in certain situations the <br />Consultant may reasonably be due compensation for these services due to <br />unique circumstances beyond their control. When this situation exists, the <br />Consultant will notify the City of this fact and both parties will attempt <br />to reach a mutually satisfactory compensation arrangement. <br />1.5.16. Arrange for the City to receive detailed instructions regarding <br />the operation and maintenance of any equipment, machinery or apparatus <br />installed as a part of the Project. Such instruction shall be supplied by <br />the contractor and manufacturer's representative; two (2) copies of <br />operational and maintenance manuals shall be supplied with such <br />instruction. <br />1.6. Assessment Roll Phase. Attend assessment hearings explaining the <br />Project, it's cost and proposed assessment based on adopted City policies <br />relating to assessments. <br />1.7. Review of Private Development. When authorized by the City to <br />provide services for improvements to be completed by a developer, the scope <br />of services as described in Sections 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.5 shall be <br />modified as appropriate and as agreed upon by both parties and developer. <br />Page 83 <br />
