City Center: <br />✓ Computer Hardware /Software in 2014 - $7,000. This allows for the purchase of four <br />computers which will maintain our normal replacement program and replace those <br />computers that use the Windows XP operating system because Microsoft will no longer <br />support XP after April 2014. <br />✓ Accounting Software - $5,800. The 2014 payment that is due for the Springbrook <br />upgrade. <br />✓ Voting Machines - $27,000. Cost for the required replacement of the 3 Accuvote voting <br />machines. <br />✓ City Center AC Units — Carried forward 2012 amount to 2013 and then carried that <br />amount forward and increased it to $35,000 so all seven units could be replaced in 2014, <br />✓ City Center Entrance Concrete — we continued the amount forward from 2013 to <br />replace the concrete at the entrance to the City Hall and Historical Society. <br />✓ Updated Building Code — Carried this amount forward to 2014 because the new code <br />has not been adopted by the state yet. <br />✓ City Hall Remodel — We have provided a $1 50,000 allowance for updating /remodeling <br />City Hall and the Council Chambers. This is just a guess. <br />Fire Department: <br />✓ Air Conditioners - $18,000. Allows for the replacement of the air conditioners installed <br />in 1991. <br />✓ Sidewalk/Stair Repair - 54,000. — Repair the concrete stairs and sidewalk in conjunction <br />with other concrete repair work budgeted for in 2014. <br />✓ Purchase of 331 Little Canada Road - $175,000 to allow for purchase & demo (based <br />on Ramsey County EMV.) <br />✓ Replace Fence - $3,000. This is to replace the wooden fence on the east property line <br />that was constructed in 1991. If we purchase the adjacent property, that amount may not <br />be needed. <br />✓ Furnace Replacement - $12,000. Replaces a furnace installed in 1991. (We may want <br />to try to combine City Hall and Fire Department HVAC work in 2012 & 2014 to obtain <br />better pricing. <br />Old Fire Hall: <br />✓ Replace Brick - $25,000. Replace the brick on the front of the building. <br />✓ Tile Replacement - $3,000. The tile in the office area will need to be replaced if the <br />Parks and Recreation office isn't moved into the new Public Works building. <br />Parks Equipment: <br />✓ Ball Field Drag — $4,500. <br />✓ 100 Gallon Sprayer - $5,000. Carried forward from 2013. <br />✓ Trash Containers - $10,000. Remove concrete trash containers and replace with something that <br />is just as durable, lighter for park employees to move and less likely to crack if tipped over. <br />✓ Security Cameras - 510,000. Install security cameras within the parks to address vandalism. <br />Park Improvements: <br />✓ Gervais Fishing Piers - $10,000. Replace boards on the fishing piers. <br />✓ Fire Barn Warming House - $190,000. $140,000 carried forward from 2013. Staff is again <br />meeting with Architect on Monday to further discuss options for this project in light of the letter <br />forwarded to you by the Parks & Recreation Director. <br />2 <br />
