✓ Drinking Fountains - $13,500. Add drinking fountains to Skate Board Park and Pioneer Park. <br />A water line will also have to be installed to put in a drinking fountain in Pioneer. <br />✓ Concrete Repair - $6,000. To extend the concrete apron along the shelter in Spooner Park past <br />the roof overhang. <br />✓ Doors - $12,000. To replace the outside bathroom doors at Spooner Park. <br />✓ Lighting - $3,000. To add lighting by the Spooner Park garage, south towards the tennis courts. <br />✓ Repave Trails - $50,000. A full redo of the trails in Spooner Park, similar to what was done in <br />Pioneer Park in 2010. <br />✓ Sport Courts - $5,000. Resurface the sports courts at Spooner Park. <br />✓ Epoxy - $10,500. Epoxy the floor in the shelter and kitchen at Spooner Park and the concession <br />area and bathrooms at Pioneer Park. <br />✓ Pavers - $22000. Repair /replace /restore the pavers in Pioneer Park. <br />✓ Drainage & Grading - $85,000. Swale grading and restoration at Pioneer Park around the ball <br />diamonds and dredging the pond south of the bridge. <br />Public Works Equipment: <br />Replace 2003 Dodge compact pick -up - $27,225. <br />Bobcat Clam Attachment - $3,000. <br />Man -lift attachment for the loader - $4,000. <br />Plasma cutter - $1,300. <br />10% Gambling Fund - #408: <br />This fund uses the resources generated by the 10% tax charged on net profits to local charitable <br />gaming operations. Revenues are down again in 2013. Expenses in this area are statutorily <br />restricted to police equipment, fire equipment, or activities pritarily benefitting our youth. <br />We continue to project $4,000 for fireworks for Canadian Days (the Committee contributes <br />$1,000 to bring the total expenditure to $5,000). We also offset some Parks & Recreation <br />overhead associated with youth programs. You will note that we show a growing fund balance. <br />This money could be used for a playground improvement or some other project when the fund <br />balance reaches the needed level. <br />Infrastructure Fund - #450: <br />This fund finances primarily finances streets, trails, and storm sewer improvement costs. The <br />streets being considered for improvement in 2014 are: <br />• Australian Lakeshore East to end <br />• Sehletty Dr. (Little Canada Rd south to end) <br />• Little Canada Rd. sidewalk (35E to church) <br />• Waterworks Trl. RR X -ing (S. Owasso to Frattalones) <br />• McMenemy St. (Maplewood) <br />Park Land Acquisition Budget — Fund #456: <br />This fund generates dollars from park development fees associated with new construction. A <br />nice fund balance has built up over the past few years. The goal of this fund is to purchase the <br />remaining Round Lake properties along Little Canada Road as they become available. We have <br />shown $120,000 in 2014 to allow for the purchase /demo of 56 LC Road. <br />3 <br />
