Little Canada, MN 55117 -1633 rant NOM RE: 2013 STREET & UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT PARTIAL PAY ESTIMATE #5 & CHANGE ORDER #1 Dear Council Members: Please find attached 3 copies of Partial Pay Estimate No. 5 and Change Order #1 for the above - referenced project. As you are aware, the Contractor for the project is Frattalone Companies. The total amount earned by the Contractor on this partial pay estimate is $938,820.96. Subtracting 5% retainage of $46,941.05 and previous payments of $866,803.41, the amount due the Contractor is $25,076.50. The Change Order addressed changed conditions on both Spruce Street and Pinetree Ponds. On Spruce Street more poor material was removed than anticipated and a sanitary and water service required relocation that was not included in the plan. On Pinetree Pond there was a large cottonwood tree that hung over an adjacent property owner's garage that required a crane and special equipment for removal to ensure that it did not fall on the structure in the future. There was also construction debris buried on the site that was not anticipated in the original scope. The remainder of the payment is for pond work and additional erosion control, We have inspected the work performed by Frattalone Companies, Inc. and find it to be in compliance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Therefore we would recommend approval of Partial Pay Estimate No. 5 in the amount of $25,076.50 and Change Order No.1 in the amount of $17,472.04.
