(LEI) is pleased to submit the following
proposal to provide structural engineering services.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
It is LEI's understanding that the project is to consist of evaluating an existing masonry and bar
joist building at the intersection of Centerville Road and Labore Road in Little Canada. The
approximately 6300 square foot building sits on the future site of a new Public Worlcs Building
and would be reused as part of the new facilities. Our services would include an inspection of the
existing building and evaluation for the proposed reuse of the structure.
Our evaluation would include comments on:
o Suitability of the floor slab for equipment storage and access
o Suitability for use as a salt storage facility
o Review of effects on building structure caused by demolition of existing building
to the west
o General condition of the roof from a structural standpoint. Evaluation of life of
roofing material will not be made as part of this evaluation.
o Other general condition and reuse comments discovered during the inspection
and evaluation.
SCOPE OF WORK
LEI will visit the site to inspect the existing building and gather information regarding proposed
use and loading of the structure. Based on the information collected, we will evaluate the
building structural capacity and determine the suitability for the intended use. A report will be
written summarizing our findings and conclusions.
