MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 18, 2013 <br />2962 & 2968 <br />RICE <br />STREET <br />PUD <br />AGREEMENT <br />APPOINT <br />REPRESENT- <br />ATIVES <br />TO FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />RELIEF <br />BENEFIT <br />STUDY <br />COMMITTEE <br />Montour asked if there were any other improvements being contemplated <br />for 2014. The Administrator reported that staff is looking at some non - <br />assessable improvements and will come back with a recommendation for <br />Council consideration. <br />The City Administrator presented a draft PUD Agreement relative to <br />recent Interim Use and PUD approvals granted for properties at 2962 and <br />2968 Rice Street. He noted that the agreement also addresses the potential <br />redevelopment of these properties. The Administrator reported that Dirk <br />Bordsen, his attorney, and the City Attorney have not yet reviewed this <br />draft agreement. Therefore, he recommended that approval be subject to <br />those reviews and final approvals by the City Attorney. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -12 -241 — APPROVING THE 2962 AND 2968 <br />PUD AGREEMENT SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND ACCEPTANCE BY <br />DIRK BORDSEN AND HIS ATTORNEY AND SUBJECT TO FINAL <br />APPROVAL OF THE CITY ATTORNEY, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the Council recently held a workshop <br />meeting with representatives of the Little Canada Fire Department to <br />discuss the issue of Fire Relief pension benefits and the amount of the <br />City's contribution to the pension fund. The Administrator indicated that <br />based on the discussion at the meeting, it was felt that a committee should <br />be appointed to work on this issue and try to develop a plan that would <br />address this issue for the next few years. The Administrator recommended <br />that two members of the City Council be appointed to the committee. <br />The consensus of the Council was that Mayor Blesener and Council <br />Member Keis serve as representatives on this committee, with any of the <br />other Council Members serving as alternatives in the event they are <br />needed. <br />19 <br />
