Resolution declared adopted.
Blesener noted that the Planning Commission has tabled action on the
request for an Amendment to Planned Unit Development (PUD) Permit
for the permanent outdoor storage of construction materials at 3213
Country Drive, Pallet Services Corporation, pending additional
information from the applicant. Robert Wenner, Pallet Services, has
requested that action be tabled until the February planning cycle.
The City Planner provided a brief overview of the PUD Amendment
application, noting that the applicant currently has a PUD Permit that
allows 60,000 square feet of outdoor storage and stack heights of 14 feet.
The applicant is requesting 72,000 square feet of outdoor storage and stack
heights of 20 feet. The Planner noted that the Fire Marshal reviewed the
request and has expressed concern about the ability to fight fires in certain
areas of the property. The Fire Marshal also requested improved fire lane
surfacing. In considering the recommendations made by the Fire Marshal
and City Engineer relative to these issues, the applicant may make some
modifications to their plan. The decision at the Planning Commission
meeting was to table action on the matter to give the applicant additional
time to consider his options. The applicant requested that the matter be
tabled to the February planning cycle, and the City Clerk reported that the
City has received the appropriate 60 -Day Waiver from the applicant.
Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
5
