Hanson <br />Attached is a letter from Greg Schmit requesting termination of <br />his contract as the City's Fire Marshal. It is the result of our <br />mutual agreement that Duane Williams is better fit for that title <br />Mr. Schmit is requesting that he retain the title of Fire <br />Inspector to aid in his enforcement duties. <br />It is the recommendation of staff that the contract be <br />terminated, and that Duane Williams be retained as the City's <br />Fire Marshal effective October 1, 1995. Mr. Williams would <br />perform all duties related to a typical Fire Marshal position. <br />Compensation would be at his current rate of pay and with the <br />yearly compensation limit as imposed by PERA. <br />cc: Greg Schmit <br />Duane Williams <br />Dick Boss, Fire Chief <br />Page 22 <br />
