EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA September 13, 1995 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Little Canada, Ramsey County, Minnesota was duly called and held at the City Center of said City on the 13th day of September, 1995 at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Fahey, Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, and Scalze. and the following were absent: None. Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRE OR EXPLOSION LOSS PROCEEDS PROGRAM AS DEFINED UNDER CHAPTER 170 AND HEREBY ESTABLISHES THE APPROPRIATE TRUST /ESCROW ACCOUNT AS REQUIRED BY THIS CHAPTER WHEREAS, The State Legislature adopted Chapter 170 authorizing . municipalities to establish trust or escrow accounts for proceeds from losses arising from fire or explosion of certain insured real property; authorizing municipalities to utilize escrowed funds to secure, repair, or demolish damaged or destroyed structures; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota that the Council hereby states that it will participate in the program as defined under Chapter 170, and establishes the trust /escrow account as required in Subdivision 12 of Chapter 170, and declares that it will uniformly apply this law with respect to all properties located within the City of Little Canada The adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Council Member and upon vote taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Fahey, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, and Scalze; and the following voted against same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Council this 13th day of September, 1995. PAGE 123
