EXTRACT OF MINUTES <br />OF A MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />September 13, 1995 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Little Canada, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota was duly called and held at the City Center of said <br />City on the 13th day of September, 1995 at 7:30 P.M. <br />The following members were present: <br />Fahey, Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, and Scalze. <br />and the following were absent: None. <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRE OR EXPLOSION LOSS PROCEEDS <br />PROGRAM AS DEFINED UNDER CHAPTER 170 <br />AND HEREBY ESTABLISHES THE APPROPRIATE TRUST /ESCROW <br />ACCOUNT AS REQUIRED BY THIS CHAPTER <br />WHEREAS, <br />The State Legislature adopted Chapter 170 authorizing . <br />municipalities to establish trust or escrow accounts for proceeds <br />from losses arising from fire or explosion of certain insured <br />real property; authorizing municipalities to utilize escrowed <br />funds to secure, repair, or demolish damaged or destroyed <br />structures; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota that the Council hereby states that it will <br />participate in the program as defined under Chapter 170, and <br />establishes the trust /escrow account as required in Subdivision <br />12 of Chapter 170, and declares that it will uniformly apply this <br />law with respect to all properties located within the City of <br />Little Canada <br />The adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: <br />Fahey, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, and Scalze; <br />and the following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and <br />adopted by the Council this 13th day of September, 1995. <br />PAGE 123 <br />
