Fahey <br />COUNCIL <br />Beverly Scalze <br />Jim LaValle <br />Steve Morelan <br />Bob Pedersen <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />Joel R Hanson <br />As you will recall, the Council asked the Park & Recreation <br />Commission for a recommendation on whether ownership of the St. <br />Paul Water Department wetland property in the Rice and Spruce <br />Street area should be assumed by the City or the County. As you <br />will see from the Park & Recreation Commission minutes attached, <br />it is their recommendation that Ramsey County assume ownership of <br />this wetland given their expertise in managing wetland areas. <br />The Commission is interested in pursuing a trail easement around <br />the, wetland area, but feels that this issue can be addressed <br />sometime in the future. <br />Page 89 <br />
